The hopper of the 800 Tug-Towed Salt Spreader is designed to take a capacity of approximately 1000kg of salt. This means it is perfect for use with 1-ton bulk bags, which are easy and clean to store. It also saves you time, as filling the hopper is efficient.
The 800 can spread wet or dry, brown or white salt. It has a patented and unique POZI-FEED stainless steel auger system. In practice, this means it maintains a smooth and even flow of salt.
The 800 is easy to maintain. It needs minimal servicing as it features a very simple and easy-to-maintain chassis design, with enclosed engine and hydraulic system. This minimises salt damage. The hydraulic circuit is powered by an on-board electric start engine.
The 800 comes with a 0.8m³ mild steel hopper (1-ton capacity). It has a 60-litre hydraulic tank with canister type spin-on return line filter, breather cap and sight gauge. Symmetric and asymmetric patterns achievable using a manually adjustable chute from a manually-adjustable spread.
The 1200 is favoured by contractors, local authorities and facilities maintenance organisations.It can be towed or trailed at high speed by a suitable 4×4 vehicle. It has attained EC Whole Vehicle Type Approval (ECWVTA).
The 1200 can spread wet or dry, brown or white salt. It has a patented and unique POZI-FEED stainless steel auger system. The 1200 high speed salt spreader (gritter) is fitted with a 1.2m³ hopper to carry approximately 1500kg of salt.
The 1200 has complete road lighting with premium rubberised lighting components to resist salt corrosion. It has a manually adjustable application rate valve (graduated), along with a 60 litre hydraulic tank, meaning it is safe and easy to operate.
Overall dimensions 4040 x 1950 x 1600mm (length x width x height). It comes with 8 ply road going wheels and tyres. Complete with a 1.2m³ Mild Steel Hopper, it also has a hydraulically driven stainless-steel disc, with adjustable spread width from 1.8m to 8m.
